Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the website grovim.io, operated by Protremix Technology Limited. They do not license the GROVIM software, which is licensed separately.

1. Provider and acceptance

1.1The website at grovim.io (the Website) is operated by Protremix Technology Limited, business licence no. 07011554 issued by the Innovation City Authority, Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Office A, Innovation City Business Centre, RAK BANK ROC Office, Ground Floor, Al Rifaa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (Protremix, we).

1.2By using the Website you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Website.

1.3These Terms cover the Website only. A commercial deployment, evaluation or support arrangement for GROVIM is governed by a separate written agreement with us and not by these Terms.

2. The software

2.1The GROVIM software published in our public source repository is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. That licence, and not these Terms, governs your use, modification and distribution of that software. Components that are not published in that repository are not licensed by these Terms or by that licence.

3. The Website and its content

3.1The text, diagrams, figures and interactive material on the Website are provided for information and demonstration. You may view, quote and share them with attribution. You may not present them as your own work or misstate their source.

3.2Engineering figures on the Website, such as counts of tests, lines and modules, are measurements of the software at the date stated beside them. Figures on cost, effectiveness and latency are drawn from the project's test suite and from cited public sources. None of them is a measurement from operational use, a performance guarantee or an offer.

4. The simulator

4.1The simulator on the Website is a visualisation that runs in your browser. It shows how the GROVIM decision pipeline behaves against simulated inputs. It does not control hardware, is not a weapon system or a component of one, and is not operational, tactical or engineering advice.

5. Acceptable use of the Website

5.1You must not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or the systems behind it; probe, scan or load-test them; interfere with their operation; or use automated means to copy the Website in a way that burdens it.

6. Export control and regulated use

6.1GROVIM is designed for defence and safety-critical applications. The export, transfer, deployment and use of the software and of related technical information may be restricted by the export-control, sanctions and arms-control laws of the United Arab Emirates and of other countries. You are responsible for complying with every such law that applies to you.

6.2Nothing on the Website is an offer to supply controlled goods, software or technology to any person or destination to which supply is restricted.

7. Intellectual property

7.1Subject to clause 2, the Website, its design and its content belong to us or our licensors. GROVIM and the GROVIM logo are used by Protremix Technology Limited to identify the project. Other names and marks mentioned on the Website belong to their owners and are used for identification and comparison only.

8. Disclaimer and liability

8.1The Website and its content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8.2Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies.

8.3Subject to clause 8.2, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content, including the simulator and the figures described in clause 3.2.

9. Privacy

9.1The Privacy Policy describes the limited personal data processed when you visit the Website or write to us.

10. Changes

10.1We may amend these Terms by publishing a new version with a new version number and date. The version history below records each change.

11. Governing law and disputes

11.1These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Subject to clause 11.2, the courts of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.

11.2A mandatory provision of the consumer-protection law of the country in which you live is not excluded where it applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement.
